It is true that Utah vinyl fencing can be more expensive than wood-type fences. There are those of you who possibly don't even have a vinyl fence. We have a variety of photos of vinyl fencing on our website for your review. One of the many advantages of vinyl fencing is that they come in pieces that can be assembled relatively easily. Unfortunately, some companies out there do not install Utah vinyl fencing correctly, requiring vinyl fence repair (Salt Lake City and Utah communities). The installation of a vinyl fence can indeed be easier than installing a wood fence, as wood fences come in fewer pieces. Before attempting a vinyl fence install yourself, you may need some installation background, but many people have found that installing a vinyl fence is very doable.
Vinyl fences have been compared to the likes of vintage artwork because they make a yard surrounding a home look even better, can go with most colors, and can last for decades longer than traditional wood fencing. Additionally vinyl fencing never fades, so you don't have to worry about vinyl fence repair (Salt Lake City and Utah communities), re-finishing or repainting the fence. Some of our customers have even remarked that their new vinyl fence offers peace of mind that cannot be purchased. We're sure you've heard the old saying; "time is money." Indeed, purchasing a vinyl fence will save you time over the long run, and hence money.
We have included in this article, some brief and basic instruction on how to install Utah vinyl fencing. There are many ways to install vinyl fencing, so if you have any questions, please give us (Vinyl Industries) a call.
Dig deep holes for the posts. We recommend holes that are at a minimum of 27 inches in depth. This depth can provide the stability needed for your fence, but you also need to consider average wind speeds in your neighborhood. High wind areas may need deeper holes to be dug. Ensure the post holes are dug according to the measurement of the panels (top and bottom) that will need to be placed between each post.
Sloped terrain requires a 'step' approach. In other words, ensure that the top of your fence posts are on the same line. You can begin with shorter fencing on the 'uphill' portion of your property, with the longer pieces remaining on the 'downhill' portion. This will help minimize differences in your fence height, but keep in mind that the more dramatic your property slope, the less likel
y that you will be successful in minimizing differences to your fence height.
Place your posts in the pre-dug holes. Begin to mix or prepare your cement. When properly prepared, ensure you fill up the hole two-three inches below ground level so that sod or landscape can cover the cement when dried. Pouring the cement per post, check each post to ensure the proper horizontal and vertical levels.
Assemble vinyl fence components. Utilize the pre-fabricated insertion points fabricated into the vinyl posts. Insert the bottom and top vinyl rails between each fence post, and insert central fence slats between the rails. Some cutting and measuring will be required to properly fit fence slats between railes, especially on sloping terrain.
These instructions are very basic and intended to give a rough outline of Utah vinyl fencing installation. What Sets Apart One Utah Fence Company From Another? Vinyl Industries Has Been Installing Utah Fences 'The Right Way' for 20 years
So the other day I was accomplishing my usual Saturday chores. I started off by mowing the lawn, then proceeded to pull rogue weeds in myflower beds just as I do every week. Sure, I could lay some plastic a few inches under the soil and not have to worry about weeds ever again, but I think my grandparents might roll in their grave. Both of them came were lifelong farmers, and my first official employment began on their expansive yard and farm in Herriman, Utah. Weeds had to be pulled a certain way. Fences had to be re-painted frequently. Even surrounding alpha-alpha fields to their yard had to be trimmed to compliment the landscape. Hard labor was considered a privilege to be thankful for. My Grandparents always said that 'if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right.' Vinyl Industries is a Utah fence companythat has taken on the exact mantra of doing a job right. With 20 years experience installing Utah fences, Vinyl Industries can be trusted to install your Utah vinyl fence. Other companies that install Utah fences have come and gone over the same period that Vinyl Industries has been in business. That begs a question: If a company promises a level of customer service, how do you know they can honor their commitments with such high industry turnover? Vinyl Industries is here today. They will be here tomorrow. Their record proves it.
Why Should You Choose a Utah Vinyl Fence Instead of Other Utah Fences? Vinyl Industries Is The Only 'On-Site' Utah Fence Company Manufacturer of Utah Vinyl Fence
As I mentioned previously, my habit of allowing weeds to come back week-after-week could be solved by placing plastics a few inches under the soil in the flower beds surrounding my home. So what kind of fencing should you get to contain your dog?
There are multiple options at your disposal. Choosing a fence design to contain your dog (s) usually encompasses style and purpose. Many dog owners have experienced the difficulty of trying to find an affordable dog fence that is also safe. Maybe you've heard of the invisible or electronic fence that is designed to contain a dog within a given area of a property. If you go with the electronic option, your dog is likely to bark non-stop as people walk by. After all, traditional Utah fencing can block your dog from getting a good look at other people. Also, electronic fencing doesn't stop other animals or people for that matter from entering your property and possibly causing harm to your dog.
When choosing a dog fence, you have plenty of options. Try to choose a fence type that is affordable and practical at the same time. Wood and chain link fencing can work just fine, but ensure the fence is aesthetically pleasing and strong. You might want to choose a chain link dog run type fence if you want the animal contained to a small area. These dog runs are secure and convenient, while allowing your dog the ability to exercise and play. Chain link dog runs that are designed properly, are an affordable solution. However if you desire more freedom for your dog, and your yard is sufficient size, a fence that surrounds your yard might be the ideal option. Best of all a perimeter fence is an optimal way to add protection, value, and privacy to your property. Because most dogs like to "dig," you might want to consider placing large rocks that are partly buried under the fence line. Or, when your fence is installed you can have the bottom of the fence buried below the surface of the ground.
When choosing fence companies in Utah, be certain to pick one that has a proven track record, such as Vinyl Industries. Make sure that your fence installation technician understands your fencing purpose (such as containing a dog) so that any modifications can be made if necessary.
Choosing the right type of fence for your home can be a difficult decision. There are three kinds of fence materials that people usually choose from. Vinyl (the most popular), wood, or wrought iron. So what kind of material is the best for your family? That depends upon your privacy, visual, and security needs. Not only will your new fence establish property boundaries, but it will also fill the needs of essential functions that include pet protection, child security, and landscape enhancement. Picking the right fence is essential to any property owners overall satisfaction. Here is a brief overview of the three fencing types that we discussed:
1. Vinyl Fencing: Vinyl fencing is popular Utah fence option because it requires practically zero maintenance, and comes with significant warranty protection that is not as comprehensive when involving other fence types. Vinyl fencing does not fade, and does not deteriorate unlike other types of fencing. Many homeowners prefer our 6' high vinyl fencing and appreciate the opportunity to choose from our many colors and styles, giving our customers the opportunity to raise their property value while enhancing landscaping at the same time. Here at Vinyl Industries, we assemble your vinyl fence section by section on site, which ensures fence reliability and durability.
2. Wood Fencing: Wood fencing also typically consists of the popular 6' high benchmark, and is utilized by individuals that enjoy the distinct selection of wood types, styles and paint finish. Customers that are especially environmentally-minded enjoy wood fencing because they believe it to be more degradable. Unfortunately, that very positive aspect can also lead to wood fencing reliability issues. Wood fencing is prone to degradation by insects, weather, and even the type of finish used. Many types of wood fence finish (or paint) may not be environmentally friendly. Additionally, purchasing a wood fence ensures that many a spring day will be spent re-finishing the fence to ensure proper maintenance. Wood fencing typically does not last as long as vinyl fencing. In our experience, companies that install wood fencing and care about the final fence product will construct the fence section-by-section at the customer's house in order to ensure increased fence reliability. Wood fence construction makes all the difference.
3. Wrought Iron Fencing: Vinyl industries has an array of Utah wrought iron fencing choices if that's your preference. Wrought iron fencing is popular with customers that want to showcase their yard, and internal landscaping. Eliminating the visual limitations employed by privacy fencing is probably the number one reason that people purchase wrought iron fencing. Powder coating ensures that wrought iron fencing lasts for a significant period of time without requiring re-finish. Many customers also choose wrought iron fencing for their pool areas.
Before choosing your own fence, you should determine if there are any community or neighborhood regulations, such as HOA requirements that need to be follo
wed. Additionally, give us a call here at Vinyl Industries. Our decades of experience can help make your selection easier, while saving you money at the same time. Our friendly staff can even come to your home and give you a free fencing bid.
